Sweet, spicy, steamy romance is served up in Kate Meader’s Hot in the Kitchen series

I love cooking and truly enjoy reading cookbooks, chef biographies, and tend to seek out novels that feature kitchen time. So I very much savored the day I spent reading Kate Meader’s first two entries in her Hot in the Kitchen series. She serves up some very generous quantities of steamy romance in this contemporary romance series set in Chicago that features some hot chefs, with intriquing accents, and two very sexy Italian-American sisters.

I haven’t read any of Meader’s books before and wasn’t familiar with this series until I received book two, All Fired Up, from the publisher …

Trace Elements would not be on my renewal list.

imageKate Donovan’s Trace Elements is a book that I wanted to like, I did. In fact, I put off writing about it, so I could ponder it a bit more. But I have to say even though I was really excited about the premise – an actress who portrays a take-no-prisoners FBI agent being consulted on a case by a real FBI hunk – I was just disappointed in the story.

In many ways it is a fun read, but it’s almost like Donovan took the television concept a little too seriously and instead of focusing on the plot, I …

Sexy alpha heroes lead Titan in this sizzling series by Cristin Harber

Sometimes you have to go with your gut feeling, do what your intuition tells you, take a chance . . . I never thought I’d say that about a book series, but having a few friends recommend a new author to me almost at the same time I received the first two books in her series told me yes, this is one I have to read.

The author is Cristin Harber and the series is called Titan. I’m still unclear as to why she and her publisher (Mill Creek Press) released five books (three books, two novellas) at the …

An Alpha werewolf hero and kick-ass jaguar heroine burn up the pages in Lisa Kessler’s Hunter’s Moon.

imageI have to admit to have been jonesing for the next installment of Lisa Kessler’s Moon series, ever since I finished Moonlight (The Moon Series) (Entangled Edge), the first book in the series that introduced us to a wolf pack in Reno whose natural enemies were jaguar shifters, many from the big bad Nero Organization. I won’t go into too many details, as you should definitely read this one yourself (and you REALLY do want to), but this is a review of book two, Hunter’s Moon (The Moon Series, Entangled Edge, to be released 21 Oct 2013) that picks …

A thrill a minute with Jaycee Clark’s Deadly series

imageBeyond the Page Publishing just released the box set of author Jaycee Clark’s Deadly Series. Fortunately for all of us who hadn’t yet met her heroes, the five brothers Kinncaid, we can now read their exploits in this complete collection. And let me tell you these are HOT alpha heroes!Clark definitely knows how to meld several genres together – romance, suspense, and mystery – in order to create a spectacular read. Each of the books – Deadly Shadows, Deadly Ties, Deadly Obseesion, Deadly Games, and Deadly Secrets – could be read as a stand-alone novel, but who would want …
